Then the holidays arrived. Work had soooooooo many treats I couldn't eat (the families we work with are super kind and generous and clearly trying to fatten us up). I made my own cookies to take in as it was getting increasingly hard (and a little sad) to watch others eat scones (apparently some of the best on the planet), donuts, cookies, cakes etc.
Then the actual holidays arrived, with the deep freeze. We are setting record breaking cold temperatures left, right and centre. I haven't been getting out as much, although I have worked out at least 2 times per week and gotten my 10 000 steps every weekday. Over the past few weeks I have indulged in many treats besides the few cookies I made. Chips, these amazing macrons that Sam got me for Christmas, a few extra cocktails, plus a wonderful New Years Eve dinner (see below) and the weight popped on.
